This short, lyrical duo for cor anglais and clarinet, a memorial to the Polish composer Andrzej Panufnik, was composed in 1991. A little over three minutes long, it was later transcribed and adapted to form the conclusion of Knussen’s Songs Without Vocal & Chorals.
